In seven years, Hats For Hope has contributed $275,000 to the fight against breast cancer. One hundred percent of all money raised goes directly to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer efforts. We truly appreciate the generosity of our many donors and sponsors, who have supported us with both financial and in-kind donations.
Derby Hats: Our goal is to auction two hundred fashionably fabulous hats. If you would like to help us achieve our goal by donating a gently worn or new hat, you can drop off your contribution at the American Cancer Society Office, or contact Teddy Andriot (502-244-2900) or Ann Mudge (502-724-3203).
“Gently Worn” means free of stains, tears, and dust. Plain hats are acceptable since some ladies do prefer that style, but please note that we may embellish some plain hats. We regret that we cannot accept vintage or winter hats, as it has been our experience that neither are popular at our Derby-themed event.

Silent Auction Item Donations: our “non-hat” auction packages typically consist of items like jewelry, event tickets, vacation packages, clothing and artwork. If you would like to make a contribution to the silent auction, call Ann Mudge at 502-724-3203 for more details.
Cash Contributions: If you don’t have a hat or a non-hat item to donate, but would still like to make a contribution, Hats For Hope accepts cash donations. Please send a check payable to American Cancer Society, with Hats For Hope on the “memo” line, to 701 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd, attn: Jessica Whirt.
Food and Beverages: Hats For Hope features a variety of delicious hors d'oeuvres from Ladyfingers Fine Catering. If your business or restaurant would like to donate desserts or beverages, please contact Carol Knight at 502-533-2709.
Non-anonymous donors will receive an official receipt from the American Cancer Society that can be used for tax related purposes. A printable donation receipt form is also provided here for your convenience. Please fill this out, keep a copy for your records, and include a copy with your donation. Thank you for your support!
